DEMI MOORE has been flaunting her gorgeous new “boyfriend” to the world, but The ENQUIRER has learned it’s all just a big show to make it appear that she’s moved on from her marriage to Ashton Kutcher.
While the 49-year-old “Ghost” star has been spotted getting cozy with handsome New Zealand actor Martin Henderson, 37, a close friend says the two are “nothing more than friends.”
“The whole thing is a setup on Demi’s part,” divulged the insider. “She’s hanging out with Martin in a desperate bid to make it seem as if she’s moved on from Ashton and got a new man for herself. But she hasn’t. They’re friends and that’s it. The fact is that Martin kind of felt sorry for Demi. If anything, he’s just trying to pick up her spirits. He’s not really interested in a relationship with her at all.”
The two were photographed together in New Preston, Conn., recently, but the source says Demi was just trying to get back at Ashton for parading around with his new love, Mila Kunis.
Demi “freaked out” when she heard that Ashton, 34, and Mila, 29, are living together at Ashton’s Hollywood Hills home, say insiders. And things only got worse when she learned that they’re trying to have a baby!
Ashton and Demi were married in 2005 after two years of dating. That same year, The ENQUIRER reported that the couple was “heartbroken” after Demi, then 42, suffered a miscarriage in her fifth month of pregnancy. The couple announced they were divorcing in November 2011.
“Ashton has wanted to have a child of his own for some time,” said a source close to the “Two and a Half Men” star. “He’s convinced that Mila will finally give him the baby that Demi didn’t – or couldn’t.”
