An emotionally devastated Michael Douglas suffered a shocking collapse, as these exclusive photos obtained by The National ENQUIRER show.

The 70-year-old “Wall Street” actor seemed pale and at least 30 pounds lighter when he was caught in the midst of a meltdown during a recent exotic getaway.

Said an eyewitness: “Michael appears a shell of his former self. He’s obviously got the weight of the world on his shoulders.”

The actor broke down while vacationing in the Mediterranean with wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, and their children – son Dylan, 14, and daughter Carys, 12 – were said to be joining them, sources told The ENQUIRER.

“Michael and Catherine were traveling on a yacht off the coast of Sardinia when he suffered the collapse on board,” said a source close to the couple. “Despite being in paradise, he can’t escape all his problems.”

The “Fatal Attraction” star is depressed over the frail health of his 98-year-old father, Kirk, and is still mourning the recent death of his mother, Diana Douglas Webster, insiders revealed.

“She was his rock. She got him through years of issues with Catherine and his own life-and-death cancer battle,” a source told The ENQUIRER. “He loves his dad, but Kirk is so frail that Michael can’t really engage him in his problems. Michael feels alone.”

Adding to his misery, Michael desperately misses his son Cameron, 36, who’s set to remain behind bars on drug charges until 2017, said the first source.

“Michael prays every night that Cam makes it through another day behind bars.”

While Catherine, 45, and Michael reunited after a brief separation in 2013, the couple continue to battle problems, insiders said.

The “Chicago” actress suffers from bipolar II disorder, and “it’s wreaked havoc on their marriage,” dished the source. “They stay together for the sake of the kids.”

Meanwhile, Oscar winner Michael remains heartbroken over losing his mom, who died July 3 at age 92 from cancer.

Two days after she passed away at the Motion Picture & Television Hospital, Michael wrote on Facebook: “I will love and miss her forever.”

A source close to the actor said: “Michael’s mother meant the world to him. Losing her was almost more than he could bear.”
