DAVE SEXTORT TRIAL: NO TIGER DEFENSE

description

Judge throws out the Tiger Woods defense in the case against accused Letterman blackmailer Robert Haldeman,

Accused CBS producer Robert Haldeman  who tried to use the Tiger Woods defense to have Letterman pay him off much like Tiger paid off mistresses had that flimsy defense thrown out of court by the judge.

Haldeman’s legal team claimed it was a legit business deal to buy a screenplay chock full of Dave’s intimate with lover, former intern Stephanie Birkitt. Cost $2 million.

Halderman sat listening at a courtroom defense table as  Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Charles Solomon denied the motion to dismiss based on the Tiger "precedent".

"Defendant argues that the statute is overbroad as it applies to him because he has a constitutionally protected right to write a book or screenplay about a public figure," Justice Solomon wrote.

"Since the defendant is not being prosecuted for authoring either a book or a screenplay, his constitutional right to free speech is not been impacted"

The Prosecution actually calls it "extortion and blackmail."
