DAVE EXTORT SECRET FILES

description

Secret court documents reveal nightmarish blackmail plot against David Letterman and whoever else may be involved.

According to unsealed court documents Letterman was referred to as "Client 1 by his lawyer James Jackoway in papers detailing an elaborate extortion attempt by accused 48 Hours producer Robert "Joe" Haldeman over Dave’s secret lover Stephanie Birkitt (pictured w/ Dave).

Authorities raided the disgraced CBS producer’s home confiscating computer equipment, a camera memory card, banking information, photos and other items pertinent to the ongoing investigation.

Halderman allegedly told Letterman’s attorney that he had "a lot more" documents to back up his threat and needed to "make a large chunk of money," as he offered up a "screenplay deal", the court files released in Norwalk, Connecticut reveal.

Halderman has pleaded not guilty to trying to extort $2 million from Letterman to keep some of the comedian’s sexual affairs quiet.

Meanwhile CBS execs are in a quandary as their investigative team of the News division has two of their own under the criminology microscope.

How many other CBS insiders may be involved in the blackmail attempt is keeping the Tiffany net’s legal team scrambling.
