The "Craigslist Killer" is secretly being investigated as a serial killer who had a secret gay lifestyle, The ENQUIRER has learned exclusively.
Police now suspect Philip Markoff is a bisexual predator, and they’re probing his possible connection to unsolved murders in at least four states and a Caribbean island, sources say.
The 23-year-old Boston University medical student is charged with shooting an aspiring model to death and accused of viciously attacking two other women in a six-day span after meeting them on the popular Craigslist Internet site – and police believe he’s killed before.
"Detectives don’t believe he just suddenly exploded into this orgy of violence," a Boston police source told The ENQUIRER.
"They’re tracking every move he’s made in the last few years and checking unsolved murders in those locations. Investigators have widened their case after they learned of his secret bisexual behavior."
Markoff has pleaded not guilty to charges of murder, kidnapping and armed robbery in connection with separate attacks on two women at two Boston hotels. He’s also suspected of attacking a stripper at a Warwick, R.I., hotel. All three women reportedly met their assailants through Craigslist ads.

We have discovered that Markoff cheated on his fiancee, beautiful blonde medical student Megan McAllister, after meeting both men and women in Internet chat rooms.
In another bombshell disclosure, sources tell The ENQUIRER that Markoff began admitting to gay fantasies in high school and acted on them – even after he and Megan, 25, got engaged last year!
"He reached out to both men and women in Internet chat rooms and hooked up with at least one person in the Boston area," revealed a close source.
"His e-mails were very sexual and graphic, and his intentions were clear. He led these conquests to believe he was an unattached med student – and quite a catch."
Vernon Geberth, former New York Police Department homicide commander and an expert on sexual murders, told The ENQUIRER: "He certainly has the makeup of a serial killer.
"He’s a sexual predator, and that doesn’t happen overnight. There’s got to be more, and it would be judicious to check for similar events where he’s been before."
