Reality mom Kate has her eyes on TV chef Paula Deen‘s studly young son.
On the rebound from her marriage nightmare, Kate Gosselin has set her sights on a new guy: Bobby Deen, the youngest son of Southern-fried cooking star Paula Deen.
There’s one small problem, though – Bobby has a girlfriend, actress Katy Mixon!
Kate’s interest in Bobby was sparked when she worked with the down-home TV chef over the summer on the pilot for Paula’s Mom Logic show, revealed a source.
"Paula talked about her boys and how their family got along – she even mentioned one of her sons wasn’t married.
"Kate was reminded of how nice a family life can be and what she’d lost.
"Then she saw Bobby a couple of times on Paula’s show and was really taken with him."
And to the 34-year-old mom of eight, Bobby represents everything that soon-to-be ex-husband Jon is not, says the source – charming, good-looking and a real gentleman with a strong work ethic.
"He’s also very devoted to family, which is a real big plus as far as Kate is concerned," continued the source. "Kate was hoping that Paula might be able to introduce her to him at some point."
But Bobby has made no secret of his feelings for his girlfriend, Four Christmases actress Katy Mixon, 28.
"I met a girl that has knocked my socks off," Bobby, 39, recently told a reporter. "She’s a sweet Southern girl. And obviously, I’m very happy."
That’s put a crimp in Kate’s plans – at least for now.
"But she’s willing to bide her time and see what happens," added the source.
