LIFE is imitating art for Courteney Cox – the 49-year-old “Cougar Town” beauty is putting the moves on British singer Ed Sheeran…and he’s only 22!
The unlikely couple met at an industry event earlier this year, and “Courteney gushed to Ed about what a huge fan she was of his music,” said the source.
That apparently didn’t sit well with then-beau and “Cougar Town” co-star Brian Van Holt. The two reportedly broke up over the summer.
“Now that Courteney is single, she’s not making any bones about putting the moves on Ed,” the source continued. “She offered to let him live at her Malibu home, where he’s been writing songs and chilling out.
“Courteney is seducing Ed by wining and dining him at the best restaurants in L.A., and she introduces him to friends as ‘my little stud muffin.’”
As The ENQUIRER reported, Courteney struggled emotionally after her 2010 split from David Arquette, father of her 9-year-old daughter Coco. And it didn’t help when he recently announced that he was expecting his first child with girlfriend Christina McLarty, 32.
Ed, who romanced Taylor Swift earlier this year, posted a photo online of Courteney with her arms wrapped around him and wrote that she “lets me live in her beach house.”
Despite the coy posting, the source says the two are keeping the relationship quiet because Ed is concerned his teenybopper fans will be turned off by the May-December romance.
“But he definitely finds Courteney’s real-life Mrs. Robinson ways irresistible,” the source added. “And Courteney says that being adored by a younger man makes her feel like a million bucks.”
