NATALIE WOOD death remains mystery as coroner's office is muzzled after changing cause of death to "undetermined".

The "West Side Story" beauty’s death certificate has been changed to reflect the new unanswered questions that still puzzle cops 30 years after she sank beneath the waves of the Pacific.

The COD has now altered Wood's death from accidental drowning to "drowning and other undetermined factors," according to Associated Press.

The newly amended doc also now states that the circumstances of how Wood ended up in the waters off Catalina Island in November 1981 are "not clearly established."

Chief of Detectives William McSweeney said the coroner’s office made the change which   has been instructed by detectives not to discuss the case.

"I would just say undetermined is descriptive," he said.

As THE ENQUIRER previously reported former Los Angeles Country coroner Thomas A., Noguchi in his book “Coroner”  was the first one to poke holes in the official story.
