COPS WANT 3 SEPARATE TRIALS FOR OSCAR WINNER RAPIST

description

Prosecutors want 3 different trials for the Oscar winning composer and director accused of a string of multiple rapes stemming from casting couch sessions.

"You Light Up My Life" songwriter/director Joseph Brooks is facing additional charges if authorities get their way.

Prosecutors are asking a grand jury to boost the charges against the accused rapist because of "additional victims"now coming forward.

NYPD wouldn’t provide any additional information as to the nature of the sex attacks allegedly committed by Brooks nor the victim;s identities.

The Oscar-winning composer has already plead not guilty to molesting 11 women who responded to his ad offering auditions for a movie role.

A judge said yesterday that two of the alleged incidents of attempted rape don’t fit with the other nine, requiring separate trials for the two.

Brooks’ lawyer wanted to try each case separately.

If convicted, the 71-year-old Brooks faces up to 25 years in prison.
