NYPD is investigating reports of a wild melee at a trendy New York hotspot said to involve CHRIS BROWN and DRAKE and their respective posses in which 5 people were injured.
According to multiple reports, the wild brawl involveds bottles being thrown. Both Brown and Drake had dated Rihanna.
NYPD confirmed five people were injured during the scuffle at the club W.i.P. (Work in Progress) in the chic SoHo district.
One man, 25, suffered a serious head cut to the head while two other men and two women suffered minor cuts. Three participants were hospitalized
Brown had Tweeted a photo of himself with a cut chin earlier today but then removed it, as well as other messages about the fight, including taunting epithets and taunts.
Brown’s rep released a statement saying Brown, his girlfriend and entourage were the victims of a "brutal attack."
Police are now examining surveillance footage and interviewing eyewitnesses. No arrests have been made yet nor any official complaints filed.
"Chris and his party are cooperating with NY authorities who are pursuing this incident further," Brown's rep said in a statement.
Neither Brown nor Drake were resent at the bar when police arrived around 4 a.m. Thursday.
At this juncture it is unclear what prompted the hip-hop showdown.
Dreake’s rep said he was exiting the club when the conflagration erupted, "He did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property."
