COPS HAVE ANNIE LE SUSPECT

UPDATE: New Haven police NOW confirm they have a "person of interest" for the brutal murder of grad student Annie Le.

Both The New Haven Independent and the New Haven Register reported a Yale lab employee with an unrequited love for the victim is being investigated by law enforcement as a suspect .

The suspected technician works in the same Yale lab building where Le’s corpse was found stuffed in the wall, the Register citied multiple police sources.

The suspect reportedly has multiple scratches on his chest and had been a "person of interest" prior to police’s gruesome discovery Sunday, according to the Register.

The source also reported the unidentified lab tech failed a rigorous FBI polygraph exam and during questioning asked for an attorney to be present.  His wounds appear to be defensive in nature.

The victim, 24-year-old Le, and the suspect may have known each other, says the source.

Police are currently analyzing what they’re calling "a large amount" of physical evidence.

Police have yet to officially confirm they have a suspect in Le’s death and do not believe the killing to "to be a random act".
