LATEST: Brittany Murphy, 32, was sick with flu-like symptoms prior to her death yesterday. Autopsy inconclusive pending toxicology results.

Brittany Murphy
died suddenly at 32 in Los Angeles.

Her death appears to be from cardiac arrest but a full autopsy has been ordered .

Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a 911 call at 8 a.m. at the home Murphy shared with her husband, Brit screenwriter Simon Monjack, in the Hollywood Hills.

She was pronounced dead at Cedars- Sinai hospital at 10:04 AM PST.

Murphy apparently collapsed in the bathroom, and LAPD coroner is researching her prior medical history. Her mother told cops Brittany had Type 2 Diabetes.

Sources say prescription drugs were found in the medicine cabinet including the painkiller Vicodin.

A neighbor reported firefighters tried to revive the Clueless actress three times before transport to the hospital.

Murphy shot to stardom in Clueless, 8 Mile, Girl Interrupted and Sin Cirty.  She was also the voice of Luanne on the long-running animated King of the Hill.

Her last screen appearance will be in Sylvester Stallone’s The Expendables due next year.

Despite Murphy's husband Monjack not wanting an autopsy, LA assistant coroner Ed Winter said the autopsy is planned for Tuesday with toxicology results pending but  "it appears to be natural.”
