CHUCK BERRY BRAVE LAST DAYS

description

Pals fear rock legend CHUCK BERRY killing himself and won’t slow down – even after latest collapse!

After Berry’s dramatic collapse onstage, friends fear the 84-year-old rock legend will work himself to death if he doesn’t cut back on his grueling schedule!

"Chuck’s performance schedule would kill a 30-year-old, but he just won’t quit," a source close to the duck-walking guitarist told The ENQUIRER.

"Playing his music in front of his fans is more important than life to him. If Chuck died onstage, he’d die happy."

Berry appeared disoriented during a New Year’s Day show at Chicago’s Congress Theater.

He’d played two shows at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in New York’s Times Square on New Year’s Eve before heading to the Windy City, sources said.

Chuck played a couple of his famous songs, including "Roll Over Beethoven," but soon began starting and stopping short on his legendary tunes.

He told the crowd: "We got paid and I know you want to get your money’s worth, so we’re going to try to get this together."

But when he sat down at the piano, he slumped over the keyboard and was helped offstage.

He came back onstage about 20 minutes later and said: "I all of a sudden just lost all my energy. I can’t go on, but I’ll be OK."

Then, he did a few steps of his famous duck walk, waved and left.

A close friend predicted, "These are his brave last days. Chuck just doesn’t know when to quit."
