CHER suffered a dramatic collapse just minutes before she was due to go onstage in Las Vegas – and now friends are terrified the 64-year-old’s frantic pace is killing her!

The legendary entertainer was forced to cancel her May 22 show at Caesars Palace when a stomach ailment left her doubled over in agony.

"One minute she seemed fine, and she was getting her hair and makeup done in the dressing room.
Then about 20 minutes before the 7:30 p.m. show, she was in so much pain she couldn’t stand up," revealed a source close to the star.

"She fell back into her chair clutching her stomach."

Despite her discomfort, Cher took the stage the following night, but it was clear she was ailing.

Being a trouper, she tried to make light of the situation, "but by the middle of the show, her usual energy was really flagging, and she labored through the remaining songs," divulged the source.

"Some fans near the stage say at one point they heard her blurt out, ‘I’m in hell!’

"It was all she could do to make it to the end."

Those close to Cher are blaming the frightening episode on the performer’s punishing schedule, which they say has left the star "on the edge of complete exhaustion and a possible breakdown."

"Cher is… playing Russian roulette with her health," maintained the source.
