CHAZ BONO: DON’T DIE MOMMY CHER!

Chaz Bono is terrified his hard-working mom Cher could end up dead – just like Joan Rivers.

Ordered on bed rest, the diva, 68, is suffering an acute viral infection that has forced her to reschedule stops on her “Dressed to Kill Tour.”

“Chaz believes his mom is pushing herself way too hard and could suddenly pass away like Joan,” said a source close to the music legend. “Lord knows, Cher doesn’t need the money– she’s already worth $305 million!

“She’s had too many health issues in the past to be gambling with her life now. Chaz thinks his mother should pack it in.”

In the past, Cher has cancelled six Las Vegas shows in less than a month because of asthma-related bronchitis.

And for more than 20 years, the Oscar winner has suffered from the debilitating Epstein-Barr virus.

Dr. Samuel Jacobson, a critical care expert from Boca Raton, Fla., who has not treated Cher, previously told The National ENQUIRER that the Epstein-Barr virus “can be life-threatening if it attacks your organs. If the person engages in any athletic activity, including performing on stage, the spleen can rupture.”

Said the source: “Chaz, as well as Cher’s friends, worry she’s also at high risk for a heart attack.”

Cher’s latest tour follows a three-year run in Las Vegas at Caesars Palace, which ended in 2011. Over that span, the durable singer played 192 shows.

Another 30 shows across the United States are on the calendar over the next few months.

But Chaz insists enough is enough, said the source.

“He wants her to end the tour before it is too late.”
