Original "coochy-coochy" chanteuse CHARO slams — not one but two — pop stars obsessed with posturing for publicity – sex poseurs LADY GAGA and MADONNA.
For those born in the prehistoric pre-internet days, Charo was the camp sex bomb of her day cavorting with hubby Xavier Cugat across the music and TV sitcom landscape, as she sashayed her way from the Love Boat to Fantasy Island in a parody of flambéed sexual excess.
Now the antediluvian star, on a slow news day, has fired a salvo into the depths of the pop psyche.
On Frank DeCaro‘s OutQ radio show on Sirius XM, Charo charged the "Born This Way" exhibitionist of being far worse than merely a Madonna rip-off.
"I can tell you, to me, Lady Gaga is Madonna with diarrhea," Charo, 60, denounced the Little Monsters’ idol.
Reffing on Gaga’s new single, which has been compared to Madonna’s "Express Yourself," and her Grammy Awards perf, critiqued as a Blonde Ambition knock off, the explosive Spainard added, "I don’t like it when somebody copies somebody and just adopt it — like, their own idea."
Ouch.
