Catherine Zeta-Jones exploded in a jealous rage after learning that her husband Michael Douglas became “too close” with gorgeous starlet Evangeline Lilly while shooting their new movie.
This latest revelation could be the final chapter for the star couple. As The National ENQUIRER reported, the “Wall Street” star stormed out on Catherine, 45, recently – in a move that could trigger a $300 million divorce!
Two-time Oscar winner Michael, 70, was in Atlanta filming “Ant-Man” with the “Lost” beauty, 35. Evangeline closely resembles a much younger version of his wife.
“Sparks flew between the two immediately,” a set insider divulged to The ENQUIRER. “While Michael knew Evangeline was untouchable because she has a boyfriend and is in a relationship, it didn’t stop him from lusting after her!
“Word got back to Catherine, who became jealous and furious. She read Michael the riot act! It plunged their troubled marriage into even deeper trouble.”
Recently, in NYC, Evangeline made things worse when she openly gushed about Michael!
“He’s just a wonderful, wonderful man and actor and was a real joy to work with,” she said. “Michael was a big part of why I looked forward to going to work every day and taking on this project in the first place.”
Evangeline added, smiling: “There was some real chemistry between us. I would work again with him in a heartbeat. He’s a real pleasure to be around and an overall good guy!”
