CASEY ANTHONY FATHER & BROTHER TESTIFY IN COURT

description

Accused murder mom CASEY ANTHONY’s father and brother both took the stand in Florida yesterday when called by the defense in crucial pretrial hearing into admissible evidence.

The defense team lead by Jose Baez  called Casey’s father George and brother Lee to the stand to testify about potentially incriminating statements she made to them while in jail.

Defense is attempting  to show that both Casey’s father and brother were acting as agents of the state, and that, arguably, their statements should not presented to the jury when the trial of Casey, charged with the murder of her daughter, Caylee in 2008, begins in May.

George Anthony avoided answering questions, battling not only with prosecution but Judge  Perry as well.

"This is a very emotional time for me," George Anthony said.

Casey Anthony’s brother, Lee, also testified Thursday and admitting trying to get information from his sister.

According to CNN,  Lee had promised her not to reveal information from any letter she might haven’t send him if she didn’t want him to.

When asked by the defense if he had been lying to his sister when he made that promise he answered, "Maybe."

Casey Anthony reportedly then shrugged and looked away.

Lee also denied being acting as a police agent in his attempt to elicit information saying saying he was only trying to find his niece Caylee who had disappeared.

Caylee’s remains were found five months after being reported missing by Casey.
