CARLY SIMON “YOU’RE SO VAIN” SECRET FINALLY REVEALED!!!!

description

For nearly 40 years fans and music buffs have been trying to guess who the subject of songstress Carly Simon‘s hit "You’re So Vain" REALLY was.  WONDER NO MORE!

Carly herself has finally put the guessing game to rest.

Nope, it’s none of the usual suspects of  Carly’s former ex-lovers – not Mick Jagger, Kris Kristofferson, Cat Stevens nor lothario superstar Warren Beatty.

The 1970s superstar has finally revealed it was openly gay producer David Geffen!

On a reworking of the song due on a new LP Never Been Gone,  Carly, 64 wrote finis to the ongoing enigma by whispering Geffen’s name  backwards.

Back in 1972 when Carly was signed to Elektra Records,  the billionaire mogul was her boss.

It is believed by insiders that Carly damned him to pop HERstory because Geffen backed folksy Joni Mitchell over her.

Carly had steadfastly maintained over the years that her "Vain" object of scorn was a "composite" of men she had known.
