Senator Edward M. Kennedy, who was hospitalized after suffering a seizure, has been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor.
Doctors at Massachusetts General Hospital found a malignant tumor in the 76 year-old Kennedy’s left parietal lobe.
Treatment will be determined after additional testing but the standard mode of treating a brain tumor is combination of chemotherapy and radiation. ‘
Due to the location of the tumor surgery is not an option.
Ted, the last of the original Kennedy Brothers who once forged a New Frontier, was airlifted to Boston from his Cape Cod home over the weekend.
Close family members remain with the ailing Lion of the Senate as a nation prays. Kennedy has been released from the hospital and is heading home.
