CAITLYN JENNER is receiving accolades for her inspiring speech at the ESPY Awards, but transgender rival CHAZ BONO isn’t sharing the love!
The two are engaged in a silent feud, according to sources, and Cher’s son snubbed Caitlyn after the July 15 awards telecast, The National ENQUIRER has learned.
“Chaz’s silence speaks volumes,” a source told The ENQUIRER. “No doubt Chaz was stewing. He didn’t offer any kudos to Caitlyn – far from it. And Caitlyn has privately told friends she thought Chaz would offer her some praise.”
Added another insider: “While Chaz is being respectful and won’t talk negatively about Caitlyn in public, it’s pretty clear he is hating all the hoopla and publicity that Caitlyn is receiving.”
Caitlyn gave an emotional speech about transgender rights and teared up when thanking her children in the audience for their support for her headline-making transformation from man to woman.
“If you want to call me names, make jokes, doubt my intentions, go ahead – I can take it,” she said. “But the reality is for the thousands of kids out there coming to terms with who they are, they shouldn’t have to take it … Trans people deserve something vital. They deserve your respect.”
Almost immediately, social media lit up with support for the speech!
But Chaz, despite being born the daughter of Cher and the late Sonny Bono, has not profited from his transgender procedures, which he began in 2009.
The source told The ENQUIRER: “Other than appearing on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and getting attention for losing weight, Chaz has preferred to mostly keep a low profile after making his transformation from woman to man. Before Caitlyn came along and sucked all the air out of the room, Chaz had worked tirelessly as a transgender advocate.
“The truth is, Chaz questions what good can come of the Jenner circus and fears the humanity of transgender people is lost in the hype. Seeing what Jenner is doing gets deep under Chaz’s skin.
“The Chaz-Caitlyn feud could turn into one of Hollywood’s biggest catfights if it ever explodes publicly!”
