BYE BO DIDDLEY

description

Rock legend Bo Diddley is dead at 79.

The founding father of rock died of heart failure at his home in Florida after suffering a stroke while touring in Iowa.

Diddley was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and had received a Grammy lifetime achievement award.

Diddley was honored by the many tributes but characteristically quipped, "It didn’t put no figures in my checkbook."

His first single, the self titled "Bo Diddley" on the Chess label,  gave Bo his first Number 1 single in 1955.

After Buddy Holly stole his bomp-ba-bomp bomp bomp bomp  for "Not Fade Away", there wasn’t a single rock musician who wasn’t influenced by Diddley’s musical genius.

Bye Bo Diddley ….
