Sandra Bullock’s dream of being a mom comes true.
The Miss Congeniality star will assume full-time motherhood duties for her husband Jesse James‘ 5-year-old daughter Sunny because his ex-wife, porn star Janine Lindemulder, has been sentenced to jail for tax evasion.
"This is a dream come true for Sandra, but it’s Janine’s worst nightmare," a source revealed.
Janine has been at war with her ex-husband, fearing he wanted to take away Sunny, claims the source. "Now that Janine’s going to prison, her fears of losing Sunny are one step closer to becoming a reality."
In July, only days after her arraignment in a U.S. District Court in Eugene, Oregon, Janine sent Jesse a bitter text message from her cell phone, sources say. The message read: "U WIN. Sandra has her baby…congrats."
Janine, 40, later pleaded guilty to one count of willfully failing to pay more than $200,000 in outstanding federal income taxes.
She was sentenced to six months in federal prison, ordered to live in a residential community corrections center for up to six months after her release, and will serve one year of supervised release. She also must pay the back taxes.
Jesse, 39, the former host of Discovery Channel’s Monster Garage and owner of West Coast Choppers motorcycle shop, ended his 13-month marriage to Janine in late 2003. She was seven months pregnant at the time.
He began dating Speed star Sandra, 44, a month before Sunny was born. They married in July 2005.
Jesse and Janine share custody of Sunny, but a family court judge in Orange County, Calif., awarded Jesse temporary full custody while Janine is behind bars.
"Janine is worried that while she’s in prison, Jesse will file another motion with the court to gain permanent full custody," the source says.
"Sandra loves Sunny like her own flesh and blood, and will completely support Jesse if he chooses to fight for full custody.
"The only thing Janine fears more than going to prison is losing Sunny. She’s an emotional wreck worrying that’s going to happen once she’s in jail.
"For a long time, Sandra has played a significant role as a maternal figure in Sunny’s life. Now she’s going to be her full-time mom."
