It was the first time Brit had ever won a VMA, bagging 3 no less. As the pundits predicted, Brit opened the show but her only performance being of the acting variety with Superbad‘s Jonah Hill.
Other than a UK host Russell Brand‘s attempt at manic humor at the expense of the virginal Jonas Bros. and the fact Kayne West still didn’t win a video (keeping his cool this time), the VMAs were a lackluster affair.
