Britney Spears may have a future in sitcom TV! The pop wreck reinvented herself for Monday’s episode of How I Met Your Mother, playing a ditzy receptionist with a crush.
“Spears proved she can act every bit as well as she can sing, and with some of the nuances she brought to the character, you’d almost swear she’d been there before,” New York Daily News critic David Hinckley wrote.
The New York Post‘s Linda Stasi praised Brit saying, “her acting was nothing short of adorably believable.”
Britney’s guest appearance also helped How I Met Your Mother score its highest rating ever.
