BRITNEY BOOKED FOR AUGUST HIT & RUN
Britney Spears turned herself in on Monday night, Oct. 15, to be booked on misdemeanor driving charges of hit and run and driving without a valid license stemming from her Aug. 6 fender bender.
Britney arrived at Los Angeles Van Nuys Jail around 9 p.m. and left about 45 minutes later. According to the L.A. County Sheriff's Department's web site, Britney was arrested at 9:25 and booked at 9:26. "She was fine, cooperative," according to Officer Mike Lopez. "She did her business and came out." The singer was fingerprinted and photographed, he said.
Spears who wore a black turtleneck dress, jacket, sunglasses and knee-high boots was in good spirits for her booking date, which was mandated by the court before her next appearance in the case on Oct. 25. She told KCAL-TV, "They were nice."
Oddly though, Brit was spotted wearing a hot pink wig while filling up at a gas station earlier in the evening.
