Anna Nicole Smith collapsed and died in Hollywood, Florida on Thursday, Feb. 8, according to Ron Rale, her attorney. She was 39. The cause of death is unknown, but her attorney said she had been suffering from flu-like symptoms.
Anna was found in her sixth-floor room at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino by a private nurse who called 911.
Seminole Police Chief Charlie Tiger said Smith’s bodyguard administered CPR until help arrived. She was transported then to Memorial Regional Hospital.
An autopsy is scheduled for Friday, according to the Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Smith’s 5-month-old daughter, Dannielynn Hope, is reportedly in the Bahamas as this ordeal unfolds. The whereabouts of Anna’s companion, Howard K. Stern, is unknown.
