BRAWLIN’ JEFF GORDON URGED TO RETIRE

Jeff Gordon’s wife,
Ingrid Vandebosch, is begging the four-time NASCAR champ to retire after a wild, post-race melee left him bloodied.

Jeff, 43, was battling Jimmie Johnson for the win during the final laps at Texas Motor Speedway Nov. 2 when competitor Brad Keselowski tried to wedge his car between the two drivers, sending Jeff spinning out of contention.

Screaming and swearing, Jeff grabbed Brad in the pit, which sparked a brawl with more than a dozen others – including drivers and pit crew – leaving him with a bloody lip.

Pre-season, Jeff had said he might retire if he won the 2014 crown, but the on-track accident put a dent in that dream. Now Ingrid, his wife of eight years and mother of their two young children, believes her husband should get out while the getting is good.

“Ingrid was absolutely horrified by what happened in Houston. Jeff has a family to think about,” a friend told The National ENQUIRER. “She told Jeff enough is enough. He’s risking his life, and needs to call it a day for the sake of her and their
children.”

If he calls it quits, Jeff can rely on an estimated $150 million nest egg accumulated through his racing and endorsement deals.
