Insiders say Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are pulling the plug on their nearly five-year relationship
after she blew off his tough-love ultimatum: "Get help now or I’m out," say sources.
The superstar couple locked horns in a final fight at a New York City restaurant after Brad insisted Angie seek professional treatment for her emotional demons and physical issues, according to insiders.
"Brad and Angelina are calling it quits," an insider told The ENQUIRER.
"For the short term they will put on a united front for their children, but behind the scenes it’s come down to deciding custody issues and sorting out their tangled finances."
As The ENQUIRER has reported, Brad had been watching for months as Angelina, 34, struggled with self-destructive behavior, including a suicide attempt and her weight plunging to a stick-thin 104 pounds.
The 46-year-old movie hunk reached the end of his rope, sources say, after the mother of six told a German fan mag: "I doubt that fidelity is absolutely essential for a relationship."
The two were calmly discussing Angie’s comment at their New York hotel in December, but their conversation turned violent when he brought up his friendship with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston.
"Angie snapped and lost control. She acted like a woman possessed," divulged the insider.
"She yelled, grabbed, flailed at and pushed Brad."
