Tucker Carlson isn’t sorry to see Bill O’Reilly leaving FOX News in disgrace!
The network’s rising star originally praised the “O’Reilly Factor” host while taking over his old time slot, saying:”For 20 years, you’ve trusted Bill O’Reilly to be straight with you. We hope to earn that trust.”
But Tucker had called the FOX host a phony long before O’Reilly resigned over a series of sex scandals!
“Bill O’Reilly is really talented,” conceded Tucker in 2003. “He’s a lot more talented than I am — but I think there is kind of a deep phoniness at the center of his shtick!”

It’s a shocking admission from when Tucker was still a talking head for CNN , and O’Reilly had built an audience while promoting old-fashioned family values.
That included O’Reilly complaining that a rape victim should have known better than to go out “wearing a miniskirt and a halter top with a bare midriff.”
The young conservative — then sporting his preferred bowtie — was asked about his take on O’Reilly while guesting on C-SPAN.
Tucker warned at the time: “O’Reilly’s success is built on the perception that he really is who he claims to be. If he ever gets caught out of character, it’s over!”
