CHELSEA CLINTON’s husband Marc Mezvinsky is furious that his famous in-laws are treating him like the black sheep of the family!
And he was particularly humiliated at the recent glitzy birthday celebration thrown for former president Bill Clinton – when he was seated BEHIND his wife and his mother-in-law, Hillary!
“Marc later told pals he felt like a second-class citizen,” a source told The ENQUIRER.
“Marc was embarrassed and felt like all eyes were on him, and he wasn’t seated next to his wife.
“While Marc is Bill and Hillary’s son-in-law, it was like he didn’t even rate being seated in the same row. He’s steamed – it’s like the Clintons are embarrassed to have him around.”
President Clinton celebrated his 65th birthday (which was actually in August) in conjunction with the anniversary of his nonprofit foundation at an all-star party held at the Hollywood Bowl in mid-October. Lady Gaga headlined the spectacle and was joined onstage by Stevie Wonder and Usher.
“After the concert, the Clintons were quickly ushered backstage to the VIP area to meet the music stars – and Marc later had to fight his way in to be with his wife!” the source continued.
“This is not the type of marriage he had envisioned when he married Chelsea.”
The couple tied the knot in July 2010, but they have already gone through some rocky patches. Last January, reports surfaced that Marc had quit his cushy Wall Street job to be a ski bum in Wyoming. Insiders said Chelsea was “devastated” that she’d been left behind.
The crisis further escalated when Marc’s cousin, Andrea Mezvinsky, told The ENQUIRER that family members feared Marc was “cracking up,” and that he was having “trouble coping with the pressure of being in the spotlight.”
Now, the Clintons have been “giving him the cold shoulder as payback for running out on their daughter,” the source continued.
“While Marc eventually returned home to New York and it appeared he had straightened out his troubles with Chelsea, he’s increasingly been feeling like he’s left out of the loop.”
