Bill Cosby wants his Pennsylvania rape case tossed out of court — because he was promised that he was off the hook!

Attorneys for the disgraced comic — caught by The ENQUIRER being brought into court on the charges from 2004 — are saying that their client was arrested “illegally.”

Cosby first dodged criminal charges over a decade ago, when star-struck DA Bruce Castor declined to prosecute the then-beloved comedian.

Cosby’s victim Andrea Constand has even filed a lawsuit against Castor for his statements that she had exaggerated her charges against the TV legend!

And in another blow to Castor’s reputation, Cosby’s lawyers are saying that the Pennsylvania prosecutors had pledged to never bring charges against him over the rape!

Cosby’s attorneys claim that Castor’s promise was the only reason that Cosby later agreed to testify in a civil lawsuit later filed by Andrea — in which the perverted funnyman admitted to multiple extramarital affairs!

The case was later settled out of court.

Cosby attorney Brian McMonagle made the claim that Castor had assured his client that he wouldn’t have to worry about returning to court over the case — but that was before new DA Kevin Steele won an election over Castor where he mocked how the former DA missed the chance to stop Cosby’s string of sexual assaults!

The lawyers for Cosby also requested that Steele be disqualified from keeping his campaign promise to prosecute the case if criminal charges aren’t dismissed against Cosby.
