BIG BUCKS SEPARATE TV STARS FROM CHARACTERS THEY PLAY

description

It’s no secret that the actors and actresses on TV’s most popular shows earn a decent chunk of change – but what do the characters they play bring home?

The Web site Salary.com recently compiled a list of what some favorite on-screen personalities would earn in real life – and you might be surprised at just how much they’re raking in!

Dr. Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey) of “Grey’s Anatomy” tops the list with a McDreamy salary of $386,575 for his demanding work as a neurosurgeon, while another TV physician, Gregory House (Hugh Laurie) of “House,” pulls in a cool $191,011 as an infectious disease doctor.

Even dimwitted Homer Simpson – a nuclear safety inspector – earns a decent living with a salary of $67,422.

Rounding out the bottom of the list are “Law & Order: SVU” detective Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) – who earns $45,253 – and deliveryman Doug Heffernan (Kevin James) from “King of Queens – who earns $41,695.

And Special Agent Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) of “24?” That’s confidential!
