The clock is ticking for CBS big-wigs desperate to sign the stars of “The Big Bang Theory” to new contracts — or face a cataclysmic ratings collapse!

“The show runners say they have no intention of writing a finale episode for the series this spring,” a media insider told The National ENQUIRER, noting the series is TV’s top draw for adults in the 18-49 demographic.

“It would be devastating to lose the show. And that means the actors are in the driver’s seat when it comes to negotiations!”

Talks have been underway for months, but CBS has yet to nail down the ensemble cast of Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch.

The actors negotiated mega-deals two years ago — but there are more considerations than just money.

Despite getting $1 million per episode and a 1.25 percent cut of back-end deals, Kaley is now rumored to want a movie career.

“It’s not impossible for producers to write stars out for a few episodes, especially in a terrific ensemble show like ‘Big Bang Theory,’” said an insider.

“It gives stars time for other roles and keeps the show afloat — and that makes everyone happy!”
