Fans will remember Robin Williams for his big talent, but pals tell The ENQUIRER the beloved funnyman had an even bigger heart.

Williams rallied the spirits of “Superman” star Christopher Reeve after he was paralyzed, and comic Richard Pryor as he struggled with multiple sclerosis.

He also entertained troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. “Robin had a heart of gold. He treasured his friends Christopher and Richard, and was with them to the very end,” said a close source.

Williams was on the board of the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, helped launch the charity Comic Relief, and supported St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

During the 2000s, the “Good Morning Vietnam” star traveled to Iraq and Afghanistan to entertain troops stationed there.

“I don’t think you’ll find anyone who was a better friend, or more giving of their time than Robin,” the friend said.
