Beyonce Knowles and Justin Timberlake led the pack with seven nods each as the MTV Video Music Award nominations were announced Tuesday.
Both Rihanna and Kanye West were nominated for five nominations apiece, while pin-thin Amy Winehouse received three.
“I come to win. I don’t come to lose,” West told MTV’s Total Request Live on Tuesday, where the awards were announced. “I think there’s some really strong competition this year.”
The 24th annual VMAs will be broadcast live during a two-hour show on Sept. 9 in Las Vegas at the Palms Hotel and Casino.
