Former Baywatch beauty Nicole Eggert has packed on so much weight that her bikini is busting at the seams!
The 37-year-old actress, who’s 5-foot-3, has gained about 45 pounds since she played lifeguard Summer Quinn on the hit series in the mid-’90s, sources say.
"Nicole has ballooned from 105 pounds to 150 pounds," divulged an insider. "But she wants to get back in shape, so she’s decided to do VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club."
Nicole started in show business at age 5 when she was named Miss Universe in the "petite" division. At age 8, she landed a role in the movie Rich and Famous, and played the oldest daughter Jamie Powell on the sitcom Charles in Charge from 1987 to 1990.
The blonde beauty managed to stay thin while on Baywatch because her contract demanded it, said the source. "But as she got older, her weight began to balloon," said the source.
She shattered three vertebrae in her spine in a snowmobile accident in 1996, and gave birth to her daughter Dilyn two years later. But insiders also blame Nicole’s hard-partying lifestyle for her weight woes.
According to one newspaper report, Nicole got so tipsy at a New York nightclub last year that she began dirty-dancing with other partygoers – and a wall!
Now she’s hoping her stint on the TV reality show Celebrity Fit Club will help her not only lose weight, but also clean up her act, said the insider.
"Nicole saw how much weight her Charles in Charge co-star Willie Aames dropped on the show," said the insider.
"He’s encouraged her to do it, saying, ‘What have you got to lose but the pounds?’"
