BAT LOVE AND DEATH

Batman's Commissioner Gordon weds . . . and dies!

Gary Oldman who played the Caped Crusader's pal Jim Gordon in The Dark Knight was married for the fourth time in a secret ceremony in California.

Oldman who was previously wed to Kill Bill's Uma Thurman (wife 2) wed jazz thrush Alexandra Edenborough, 31, opting for low key nups that were confirmed by best man and agent Douglas Urbanski.

Meanwhile, Pat Hingle who played Commissioner Gordon in four Bat flicks from Batman through Batman and Robin during the 1990s passed away after a long battle with cancer at age 84.  Hingle's career spanned six decades beginning with an uncredited part in On the Waterfront with Marlon Brando.

Other than Michael Gough as Alfred the Butler, Hingle was the only actor to appear in all four Bat flicks prior to the Christian Bale reboot.
