BARRY MANILOW’s hush-hush marriage to manager Garry Kief stunned many close pals – who believed the singer was secretly romancing a young stud!
The National ENQUIRER can reveal that Barry is very tight with 34-year-old Scott Nevins, star of Bravo’s “The People’s Couch.”
“Friends have seen Barry with Scott for years and thought they could have been romantically linked,” an insider told The ENQUIRER.
“A lot of them were shocked when Barry married Garry. They thought that romance wasn’t an overly committed relationship.”
As The ENQUIRER exclusively revealed in a world-beating scoop, the 71-year-old “Copacabana” crooner and Garry, president of Barry Manilow Productions, said “I do” in an intimate ceremony at their Palm Springs mansion in 2014.
Garry, 66, reportedly left his wife and daughter decades ago for Barry. “It’s a beautiful love affair that’s lasted more than 30 years,” a source told The ENQUIRER.
Meanwhile, Barry spends lots of time with Scott, said the insider.
The two were photographed together on the beach in Malibu in 2008, and “when they’re around each other, they certainly act like more than friends,” the source added.
“Scott even accompanied Barry to London last year when he was touring. He also opened one of Barry’s Las Vegas shows with his comedy routine.”
Scott posted a photo on Twitter on April 16 that showed him with the singer. On April 15, he wrote: “Took my guys Blake McIver and Emerson Collins to see Barry Manilow! Epic concert. Greatest showman of our generation!”
Said the source: “Scott is also close with Barry’s dearest friends, like Suzanne Somers and Lorna Luft. He and Barry have a very close relationship.”
