BAM STAYS ADDICTED

Hail to the the techno geek Chief! President Obama will get to keep his BlackBerry, after all.

The BlackBerry, a smart phone with both net and e-mail access were making the National Security Council skittish since such devices can be easily hacked.

Just ask Paris Hilton and Miley Cyrus about that.

According to Atlantic mag, Obama will get a customized Bam-berry that will be super-duper encrypted and will be minus a GPS radar locator - something frowned upon big time.

"I worked for the Secret Service back in the 1980s, and we did not allow the protectees to wear pagers because the agents were afraid the pagers could act as location beacons," divulged former agent John Pescatore, a net security expert.

 "If the device is actually sending out GPS coordinates that would be a definite no-no!"

President Obama, in the days leading up to his mandatory withdrawal prior to inauguration pulled a Charlton Heston saying, "I'm still clinging to my BlackBerry. They're going to pry it out of my hands."

Guess not.
