ARCHIE THREE-WAY TV: TOO LATE THE HERO?

Comic book ARCHIE to be new TV show. But will censors allow a Betty & Veronica three-way with Riverdale’s key “playa”?

The ENQUIRER has learned that the funny book teen kicking around barber shops since the 1940s is getting into bed with Fox.

The net has partnered with hitmakers Warner Bros, and producer Greg Berlanti the whiz kid behind the CW’s “Arrow” and “The Flash” adaptations of the iconic DC Comics heroes.

The one hour drama will be called “Riverdale” and will feature the usual gang of ageless teens including Jughead, Reggie, Moose and Archie’s two-GF’s Betty & Veronica.

Also set to appear – relative newcomer the openly gay character Kevin Kellar. In a much-ballyhooed comic storyline Archie "died" earlier this year saving Kevin from a killer’s gun.

Of course, that was in a parallel world comic “Life With Archie” where the red headed  lothario was depicted in storylines in which he grew up and a) married Betty or b) married Veronica.

In "real world" comics, Archie is still alive, a teen and not married.

Insiders say the show will also be a launching pad for a “Josie & the Pussycats” spin-off should “Riverdale” prove successful.
