ANNE CAN'T ESCAPE JAILED EX

Anne Hathaway's jailbird ex-boyfriend is trying to woo her back with love letters from prison - and her new man is fuming!

The ENQUIRER has learned Anne's former beau Raffaello Follieri - who's serving time for fraud - is hoping to reunite with the 27-year-old actress.

But she's moved on and moved in with actor Adam Shulman, and he's not at all pleased that Raffaello is still pining for the brunette beauty.

"Anne is incredibly happy with Adam, but Raffaello isn't giving up," a Hollywood insider told The ENQUIRER.

"He's written Anne several letters from prison begging her to wait for him. She's way over him and has never written back, but Adam is furious."

The 28-year-old actor demanded Anne write Raffaello and tell him it's over for good, said the source.

"But Anne doesn't want to give Raffaello any attention at all," the insider divulged. "There's no way she'd ever take him back, and she's hoping he'll forget about her."

The brunette beauty began dating Raffaello, an Italian real estate developer, in 2004. He was arrested for money laundering and wire fraud in June 2008 and sentenced to 4 1/2 years in federal prison.

Anne started dating Adam - who appeared in the TV drama "American Dreams" in 2005 - in late 2008, "and everything has been perfect - until now," added the pal.

"Raffaello's letters are causing a rift in their relationship. But Anne refuses to give in to Adam's demand to write Raffaello. She adores Adam, and as far as she's concerned, the Raffaello chapter of her life is closed."
