DEA raids Anna Nicole Smith‘s methadone dispensing doc’s office!
The California Medical Board got a search warrant to raid Dr. Sandeep Kapoor‘s Studio City office this morning, according to TMZ.
Allegedly he prescribed methadone to the late blonde beauty when she was 8 months pregnant with baby Danielynn who’s now being raised by former lover Larry Birkhouse.
Thirteen days prior to giving birth, Dr. Kapoor wrote a prescription for Anna under the name Michelle Chase. It is illegal under California law to prescribe dugs for a patient under a false name.
Drug enforcement officials are said to be looking for ‘scrips Kapoor may have written for Anna’s lover Howard K. Stern who’s alleged to have scored drugs for the dependant bombshell.
The California Department of Justice, Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement has been investigating Kapoor since 2007.
Anna Nicole died Feburary 8, 2007 from "combined drug intoxication" with the sleeping medication chloral hydrate as the "major component."
No illegal drugs were found in her system, according to the official coroner’s report.
