While Al Gore has been out saving the earth, his marriage has been crumbling!
Al and his wife Tipper Gore have separated after 40 years of marriage.
The couple have four grown children.
The Gores said it was "a mutual and mutually supportive decision that we have made together following a process of long and careful consideration,” according to an e-mailed statement obtained by The Associated Press.
Since his time in office, the former Vice President has focused his attention on the dangers of global warming and running the Current TV cable television network.
