After a string of domestic violence arrests, drug binges and restraining orders, former minister Jeremy London has lost custody of his young son.
The ENQUIRER reported in our Sept. 29 print edition that Jeremy’s estranged wife, Melissa Cunningham, claimed the actor is an out-of-control drug abuser who broke her nose as she clutched their 19-month-old son, Lyrik.
But that wasn’t the only shocking allegation Melissa, 37, made in court papers obtained by The ENQUIRER. She detailed years of savage beatings that occurred in front of their toddler.
"His drug and booze binges fuel his explosive temper and that almost always turns into physical violence," said a close source.
The couple has begun divorce proceedings.
Just a few years ago, Jeremy was on the fast track to fame with his role on the popular WB series, but the 35-year-old actor has hit rock bottom, says the source.
"His career is in shambles and he’s barely earning a living – now he’s lost custody of his son."
On Sept. 12, a judge ordered a continuance on an existing restraining order against Jeremy, which requires that he stay at least 100 yards away from Melissa and her home.
Jeremy will have supervised visits with Lyrik every other weekend and was ordered to pay $389 a month in child support, according to court documents.
