Famed funnyman Jerry Lewis, 83, stricken at Cannes Film Fest!

It was just a few hours ago that it was announced on the Croisette that Jer had inked to star in new flick Max Rose as a widower who revisits key moments in his life.

Production was slated for this fall in Los Angeles for writer-director Daniel Noah.

Lewis received the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award at the Oscars this year for his work with the MDA aka Jerry''s Kids.
