A Malawi judge slammed the brakes yesterday on Madonna's plans to expand her brood by adopting a daughter, Chifundo "Mercy" James, 4, from the AIDS stricken nation.

The judge decided to delay the decision until Friday on whether the pop star can have a second child from the African nation. 

Meanwhile the natives are getting more than restless as the Materialistic Mum's toured the Mphandula Child Care Center in Lilongwe, Malawi near the Zambia border where her adopted son David, 3, once lived.

"Madonna is behaving like a bully," local human rights spokesman Undule Mwakasungura charged.

"She thinks she can fast-track the adoption because she has status, money and a name."
