DESPERATE SPLIT MELTDOWN

Desperate Housewives' Nicolette Sheridan's split from ex-fiancee crooner Michael Bolton getting ugly.
 
Back in May, the then-wed couple bought a mansion in the posh LA area Hidden Hills for $4.4 million.  The pop crooner immediately ditched his Westport, Conn which sold for $11 mill and headed west to be with wifey-to-be Nicolette.

Two days later, she sent him packing.
 
"He's basically homeless - and stuck with two houses," a source told The NY Post.

"He and Nicollette split the Hidden Hills house, but she wants to stay there and not have him anywhere near it. She…thinks he should just give (it) to her.

"Michael's kind of screwed," the NY tab spy revealed. "He's got nowhere to go." Meanwhile Nicolette's got a new BF.

"It is not David Spade - they are just friends," Nic's pals say.
 
Hmmm….that sounds awfully familiar.

Reps for everybody declined to comment.
