Weeks ago in our July 14, 2008 print edition we broke the exclusive news that Morgan Freeman‘s marriage was heading for divorce court.
The ENQUIRER revealed that Freeman’s wife of 24 years Myrna had consulted a divorce lawyer after hearing that she had cheated on him.
"Myrna was terribly upset when she heard Morgan had become intimate with a woman who had been her friend," a close friend of the family told The ENQUIRER.
The couple had been separated for some time when Freeman starred in The Country Girl revival on Broadway.
Morgan, ever the Oscar winning actor, boldly declared to our reporter who confronted him point blank on June 26, "I don’t know anything about that."
Freeman’s friend and business partner Bill Luckett confirmed the divorce today.
The ENQUIRER has not revealed the name of other woman responsible for the breakup – YET.
However, it is not DeMaris Meyer, Freeman’s passenger in his recent car accident.
