J.LO’S NIGHT IN JAIL

A distraught Jennifer Lopez was handcuffed to her cell door and crying during her 1999 night in the slammer.

Details about J.Lo’s night behind bars have been made public for the first time in a new book by New York’s “Hip-Hop Cop,” Detective Derrick Parker-nearly seven years after the superstar and then-boyfriend Sean “P. Diddy” Combs were arrested following a New York nightclub shoot-out in which three people were wounded.

“When I went over to see Jennifer Lopez, she indeed appeared traumatized,” Parker revealed.

“The cops had her handcuffed roughly to the top of the cell cage. Still in her little club outfit, a long pink coat with fur on the collar, J.Lo was crying and upset — her agitation exacerbated by the fact that her arms had been locked upright in an uncomfortable position for at least an hour.”

In the tell-all — Notorious C.O.P.: The Inside Story of the Tupac, Biggie and Jam Master Jay Investigations From the NYPD’s First ‘Hip-Hop Cop’ — Parker describes how a frightened J.Lo was “breaking down,” saying she didn’t understand why she was arrested.

The singer was soon released and has never been charged in the incident.
